My Workout

So...I've been battling the whole exercise thing since Turner was born. I just don't do it.  I recently talked Addison into moving the treadmill into the bedroom..I HATE it being in there because I already thought our bedroom had no cozy element to it..and now the treadmill is the center of attention glaring at me. I had him move it because I finally realized I would only exercise if I could also watch my recordings (Kill two birds with one stone, right?) Six days and still have not been on it....

I tell myself I do a lot of excercise throughout my day..I have brainwashed myself into thinking this daily exercise is all I need to stay 'fit'..Here's what I do to exercise:

Walk fast
Dance with Turner to 2-3 songs (cardio)
Car races with the John Deere mower (legs)
Peek-A-Boo (abs)
Hula-Hoop (Whole Body)
Pulling Turner up and down on the bed (arms)
...a full days worth of staying fit!

Pathetic.

I tried getting up before work to workout (Failed)...I'm going to put my workout clothes on when I get home from work...and jump on the treadmill the moment Turner goes to bed. Maybe by typing it, I will accomplish this simple task of getting on that stupid treadmill at least 30 minutes a day... or maybe I'll add to my great workout telling Addison I will get the mail daily by walking up and down our big hill..

I won't even try to squeeze in my ab workout quite yet. One step at a time..

Now back to my Milano Melts and big glass of milk!

I mean...My New Year's Resolution was to not lose anything this year...

This is Going to be a Good One!

New Year's Resolution:
Spend more time with friends like these!
I hate how busy life gets. All three of us are in the teaching world and balancing everything else outside of that, so we have to work very hard at staying connected (I do give us points because all three of us do a great job on staying connected-can't wait for our February dinner!).
I have been very blessed with great friends and life is never going to slow down, so I am going to be sure (even if I have to stalk my friends to get them to hang out or answer the phone- I don't take it personal - :) - we should spend more time with people who make us smile because there are plenty of people out in the world who wipe it off our faces pretty quickly!

Happy 30th, sweet Amy!!
I LOVE this picture!! It's a perfect birthday picture for the birthday girl with all her friends!
Andrea and I planned a 30th birthday for Amy. We had so much fun getting it all organized! If I could make money entertaining and planning parties..I would! I'm not saying I'm good at it, but I just enjoy the planning of it all.
I met these two girls at my first class when I decided to go back to school to receive my masters (ACTUALLY, to make a story long..I ran into Amy at a NYE party and as we were talking both figured out we were about to start the same program-small world!). I am so very grateful they entered my life! It was a hard time to go back to school...new job..newly married and this program consumed me for over two years, but having both of these girls made it all worth it!

Rick's Bakery! Both of these girls LOVE this bakery...sometimes I wonder if they keep me around because I'm their close connection to Rick's- HA! :)

Amy's Favorite drinks- Andrea and I were impressed with our bartending skills

My other fabulous friend, Marcy, created the adorable invitation! (Like I said, blessed with wonderful friends!). Since it was a surprise, I printed the invitation for Amy to see that night.

Andrea and I went with the 30 ROCKS theme! The night 'Rocked' like always!
Looking forward to many more celebrations!

"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: What! You too?? I thought I was the only one."

I am a sucker to think about New Year's Resolutions. I laughed because as we were cleaning out the office I found a journal Addison and I (ok..I) started in 2006 to write down our resolutions..of course I had to get detailed about it and we even got to choose one for each of us. I guess one of them should of been not to forget ..because it hadn't been touched since. We decided not to continue with that one.

My resolution this year is to not lose anything! I know my heart is in the right place when I lose something..but it really bothers me that I 'misplace' things. Addison has accepted this about me because he has to remind me frequently to keep up with something (Still trying to find two cords I lost of his months ago....), but I am going to make a conscious effort to not be so scattered. He told me recently that he has been observing me and he truly sees that I don't realize what I'm doing to lose something- thanks, my true love! :) The funny thing is on New Year's Day Debbie called me because I left my keys up at her house three days ago... She said it didn't technically count because I left them BEFORE the new year... I'm really trying!

My other goal is to be a friendly, optimistic person. The grown up world can suck this out of you. When I turned 30 I was SUPER excited to hit my 30s! I was just done with the 20s, but as you get older...(it's not rocket science...you have more experiences..more people and lessons you learn) it gets harder to keep that happy-go-lucky-attitude! I found a FEW quotes on Pinterest that I LOVED (That should probably be a resolution as well...less Pinterest) -

"The smile on my face doesn't mean my life is perfect. It means I appreciate what I have and what God has blessed me with"

another fav!:

"YOUR DAY WILL GO THE WAY THE CORNERS OF YOUR MOUTH TURN"

My third resolution is to do more community service. I truly don't do enough, so call me if there's anything needing volunteering! :)

I'll continue with my goals: more dinners at home, learn to sew and ... I can't remember the 3rd one..I'll have to look back at that blog post...

Stumbled upon this in the produce aisle... Really?? I think Turner will just stick with his regular flavored apples...

If anything...my New Year's Resolution is to keep learning from Turner..'sometimes you just need to plop down and read a good book, Mom!'

Happy 2012!
This is going to be a good one!

Enjoyed the time off

I was having some computer issues so we purchased a new one! I'm loving it but it made me get behind on my blogging. We had a WONDERFUL break!! I had many days after Christmas and it made it so much better. We got many of our things checked off our list around the house and simply just spent with each other, especially Turner!
I'll just let the pictures tell you what all we did over the break.

I missed some wonderful pictures from Christmas..so I just threw them in here!
This is Clippity-Clop..we love him!

Staples in the Seifritz home... :)
Ready for a BIG snow to go down the BIG hill! Woo hoo!

We had a playdate with this sweet little one and her mom! We've been friends for over ten years. She and Turner are about 5 weeks apart. They were really sweet to each other..mainly just did their own thing.
I made blueberry pancakes for them!

Turner is not pulling her down :) He's holding her hand to get up. Too sweet.
She also LOVES Bubble Guppies so they watched an episode..I think with it being their 1st date they didn't think they should sit too close.

Played Peek-a-boo and with PoPo while eating Cheerios!

Alicia came in from Colorado so we had dinner at Moppy and Poppy's!

Tman and Uncle West!

Turner on his throne. I love how he's high above the little people at the table. :)

Poppy fed Turner and Turner ATE EVERYTHING!

Making a round of martinis for the fam!

Turner Dean loves his Aunt Natalie!

Group picture with Poppy's grandchildren!

Love HBJ!

He may be a flight attendant

It was wonderful weather so we spent a lot of time outdoors.

He didn't eat as good for me as he does Grandmama...I think he lost about five pounds over the break.

Learning some traits from PoPo.

This was one of those moments I had to let him do so I could get a picture. He is into the 'See Mommy do...Turner will do' stage..He saw me put my lotion on my face so he just thought he needed to put his lotion on his face.

Ate many yogurts
Nanny invited us over and we played for awhile and then went out for lunch!

YEah...Turner thought he was real cool getting to sit in the booster..I didn't realize I said yes to a booster until we were sitting..I didn't think it would really matter..well..he was pretty good -- A little much for me but overall a success!

Getting a little irritated with his older brother, PoPo.

Coach Seifritz getting his team warm up for the big game!

Our big project at the Seifritz home. Addison built this for me. It's still in the works and won't be completed until Summer...but I was so happy he took the time to do this for me. I got a sewing machine for Christmas (Thanks, Shugie!), I do a lot of scrapbooking projects, and I just needed space to do my new goals-sewing, pictures and whatever else I like to do. I'm super excited about this!
New Year's Eve day! We did our tradition by having a late lunch with the Seagraves! We then came home and just spent the evening with us three.

We got a little crazy with the frozen yogurts!

Our little family on New Year's Eve. Turner was the first one to pass out, so we put shaving cream in his hand and tickled his nose.. :) I was asleep by 10:00 and loved it!

Happy 2012~

He just decided he only wanted one arm in....

Slowly waking up....he has quite the routine on waking up after a nap..he's a little sensitive.

Boingo Bounce! Happy Birthday Calla and Carter!!
Turner has been to Boingo Bounce a handful of times...and this was the FIRST time he actually got in!! I was so excited. Yes, it took him about ten minutes to creep in there on all fours, and nobody was in this bounce house, but then about 20 minutes he looked like a normal kid bouncing around!

Even though Grandmama was on vacation, she invited Turner and I over while Daddy went duck hunting. They are doing toddler yoga...I think Turner would do anything my mom asked him to..me on the other hand.. :)

He crashed after we had a dance party. We still just turn on music and dance and shake! I think sometimes I love it more than he does...I hope he still wants to have dance parties with me when he's seven!

He did this all on his own..both crawling up to play with ipad and taking shoe off, of course.

I did a lot of deep cleaning that nobody else notices but myself..but I just love Turner's room! I will just go in there and organize..pick out new books..I need to organize his clothes again...maybe spring break!

As of right now..I spent many late nights determined to get this organized before I went back to work. It's now all in piles where I can start getting it all done! I am having my friend Rachel come over to help me with what I should do with the window..it gets HOT in here!

Like a big boy...sitting and watching Bubble Guppies

LOVED playing with PoPo..he's starting to bully PoPo so we are having to be careful how we treat popo in front of him and teach him how to be nice to PoPO..:) It's not the easiest task.

Helping Mum in the kitchen! He really likes to help me cook...He will dump, stir, and sprinkle
 for me.. too fun!

We had to go to a time out chair over the break...Of course it's like a throne... I'm moving it today. He has just been testing the boundaries..but it doesn't need to be this place or chair to have an impact..my mistake :)

Spent the night at Moppy and Poppy's on the big HOG game night! He loves going up there and playing with his cat and hanging with the dogs! Moppy said he insisted he needed the entire bag of chips...she was in the kitchen..Turner went to the Living room. He came back to the kitchen with an empty bag of chips..she was thinking great..went to living room and EVERY CHIP was in the bowl. Turner makes us all laugh out loud!

Helped us move some furniture around. We got things done at the Seifritz home over break! :)

Taking some time to ride Buck....

Taking time to just relax...

It was a wonderful break and I loved spending all the time with Tman! As you can see, we did lots of lounging by the looks of this bedhead!
