Easter 2012

Waiting on the Easter Bunny....

"He's here! He's here!"

Loved watching him explore his Easter basket.

Coloring with his new cool crayons

It is fishing season, so he loved practicing for Grandpapa. Grandpapa bought him is first fishing pole. The same kind he had when he was a kid. I wish I could tell you what it is...but you know how that goes.:)

This boy loves to color!

Eating his hard boiled eggs. (Grandmama thanked me for the next few days on this:)

Looking sharp in his Easter outfit.

Eating a good breakfast before the big Easter egg hunt at church.

I will love this memory. In the 15 minutes we were out 'hunting' for eggs..we were also dodging mounds of dog poop and bird poop coming from the sky. I laughed all through church thinking back to this scene. Turner won by not stepping in any poop!

Grandmama was a good hunting partner.

Aunt Roni got Turner a chicken that pops out eggs. As you can see, Turner was impressed and trying to figure it all out! This was pretty funny!

Grandmama helped Turner find eggs. Aunt Roni hid eggs for Turner. Turner is going to have to step up his game the more cousins we add to the mix. He took over an hour finding the eggs-Grandpa T style.

Celebrating Uncle Caul's birthday

After Caul's birthday celebration, Shugie brought eggs over for Tman to hunt. Caul hid them like a good uncle and Turner went exploring!

Shugie decorated a tree with camo eggs for Tman! I LOVE this.
Turner loved looking at the eggs. As Shugie said, "I can't wait until he can help decorate it with me"

Great picture! (Thanks, Aunt Lydia and Aunt Nat!)
I know this one I will cherish!

"EASTER IS SO FUN!!"

Easter Time!

Turner was five days old on his first Easter! I had a great video that I love watching, but it won't upload.... so here's a few pics.

. I have always loved Easter but I will always remember it being five days after we brought Turner home his 1st year that will always make it special.

And now he's two...

Happy Easter!

Turner was the only one who showed up for storytime at B & N. They had Easter cookies, eggs filled with stickers and she read the greatest Easter book! Turner loved it. I was loving how he had a private reading at B & N ( **smile** )

Turner chunked the eggs into the bowls. He laughed..I would clean up the mess. :)

Grandmama and Grandpapa visited to watch Turner dye his eggs!
We then played in the rain.

"I am about to turn this white egg into a beautiful orange color!!"

I decided it would be fun to add sand to our dyed Easter eggs...mmm...that thought lasted an entire minute before I tossed it out!

See the blue in the orange? That would be sand Turner dumped in there.

Our finished eggs!

I love decorating for Easter. With it being so close to Turner's birthday, I feel I don't really get to enjoy all my decor. I decided to share through pictures since the only time I had a lot of guest at my house was for Tman's birthday, but maybe nobody noticed my Easter decor! :) I would probably start hosting Easter soon because I LOVE it, but just haven't gotten into the swing of balancing Tman's birthday and Easter!

LOVE making an Easter tree! I can't wait for the kiddos to be older and us decorate it together!

My grandmother paints many things and she has given me all her Easter decor!

LOVE making Easter baskets for the little guy!!

My wreath defeated me this time....could not get it to look right.

Happy Easter!

Turner is Two!

I will use my T alliteration as much as I can since I have the opportunity. He had a wonderful 2nd birthday. He is such a lucky little guy!

March 29th was my due date...Turner came into our lives at 11:49 am on March 30th!
Friday we had  birthday breakfast at McNair before he went to school. We then had a wonderful evening visiting Rick's with Aunt Natalie, Tim's Pizza with Grandpapa, Grandmama, Shugie and Aunt Lydia. We then listened to Uncle Beej play the bongos for a bit! A great way to ring in #2!
As a mum, I always get super excited wrapping gifts!

Aunt Roni got him this super cute Bubble Guppies shirt!
He wore it ALL day and was so proud of it!

My work friends are the greatest! They sang Happy Birthday to Turner bright and early! He loved it.

Aunt Roni is so clever with a 2 dollar bill for Turner

Aunt Natalie telling him he can get anything he wants!

Having way too much fun at Rick's.

He chose a duck cookie. Imagine that :).

Such a typical pose for a 2 year old after a very long day and no nap.

Go Uncle Beej! Go!
He had to sit with Grandmama and tell her all about the music he was hearing!

Gearing up for his partay!

Grandmama came over and played with Turner and helped me out to get everything ready for the partay!

My former student (7th grader now) made Turner's cake. Turner LOVED it! When I brought it home, he wanted to put his trucks on there as well. She did a wonderful job and it meant the world to me that SHE made it!

On my wonderful Happy Birthday plate, (Grandma Helen gave that to me and I always use it as a way to have her part of our parties) I placed Shugie's 'shugie' cookies on there. She made these wonderful owl green and yellow cookies for the party. Yum! yum!

I turned around and he somehow got this stuck in his shirt-??-

Turner all smiles with Aunt Nat around!

Uncle Aaron did a great job on getting some wonderful action shots with the parachute game! Turner LOVED this!

Parachute fun for everyone! How wonderful is my family?!?!

A typical Grandpa T moment...resting during present opening.

I loved how Aunt Lydia got Turner a soccer ball to match the party theme! :)

Proud Mum moment...VERY excited about his Bubble Guppies book. Stopped and looked through it with all the presents surrounding him.

The crew making Tman's birthday memorable.
(Thanks to Staci and Steve for letting us borrow the tractor! (or as Turner would say, 'Truck') We rode it every morning the few days before and after because he would go stand by the garage yelling trucks until we went outside.

"Happy Birthday to Turner"
I cried once again during the song...I am not sure why I do this. (On a side note, do you notice how I have on a 'theme' shirt to match my son's love for Tractors? I went to Tractor Supply for him. :)

I was very impressed with his aim! He blew out both his candles from this distance. He must have been practicing with Grandmama!

Cake anyone??
He dug right in thinking he wanted all his farm animals & tractors :) We all loved it compared to last year when he didn't touch it.

The party started to get a little crazy!

There's nothing better than the day after and seeing all your gifts and playing with them! I love it. Turner had a very memorable John Deere party.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Tman!

A sweet way to end the night...such a precious face.
