Oh, it's not free?!?!

I was busy ending my Friday when I received an email from Turner's school approaching us about not paying tuition since he started school. I am 1. thankful they didnt' kick Turner to the curb 2. not surprised by this email. I really thought I read in the packet that they do this out of the goodness of their hearts. :)
I kindly responded and said I will pay right when I pick Turner up AND I swear I filled out the bank form to autodraft. They are checking on that.

Onto another part of our Friday...I am squeezing in potty training tomorrow. My favorite part of my long conversation on the phone with his teacher was, "Just put him in regular underwear on Monday and bring about six changes of clothes" I just smiled and said, "Ok"  Turner's school isn't new at this. They caught my grand master scheme I was working up and I lost. Turner started school at a time where he was at the edge to move up into the next class. I really wanted him to stay in the 18.5 to 2.5 till he was closer to three. Problem solved. Simple. I love his teacher, he has friends in his class, he actually talks to them, and is loving life! I mean..I JUST made his family poster for the classroom, too.
My plan was to just 'stretch out this potty thing' so he could simply stay. I know, I'm brilliant. Well....I guess that's not really what's going to happen because I guess they educate at this school and he's ready to move up and is ready for the next stage according to his teacher. My favorite quotes from me (I'm such a good mom) "I have the list that states what he needs to do before he moves up, and he can't do 1/2 of that stuff" (teacher corrected me on this)  "I really think he should just stay where he is" (Let me run your school, please) She even had to bluntly ask me "Let's take out the whole moving up to another class. Would you still be up to potty training??" (That's when I knew I was busted....)  SO proud.

After the teacher explained to me some good points, I was ok. I'm not really ok...but I will be ok. It really is about the timing and another transition BUT as we know, I just ignore any kind of transitions until someone really points it out to me. I also (obviously) react a bit...I mean I did pass out from a 'scratch' above Turner's eye..which still really surprises me I did that.  I've learned that about myself in this motherhood thing....I am surprised by things I do more than that new little boy in this world who is new at ALL OF THIS, too.

I told her I still have some concerns and am not optimistic about this whole "bring him in underwear on Monday" I now am going to squeeze in potty training tomorrow. Wish me luck! (I know you are wishing me luck on more things than just Sunday's potty training adventure"

Let's fall back for a second

It hit me this weekend  from the 1,000 post for football season, tailgating, fall post on Pinterest and the CUTEST Halloween decor that I will not get around to making popping up everywhere, that fall is almost here! I need to fall back for a second because I'm not even close to my summer updates for 2012 summer fun!
A glimpse back...just a few..still not done and some may be repeats. (obviously I need to get organized)

Welcomed sweet baby Avery to the world!

Had a fun filled week/end with my BFF for her birthday!

Celebrating with their mommy! Beautiful cake!

Flirting

Random...but I LOVE this and can't believe how expensive they are!!
I think it's the cutest booster! I'm happy 3 Monkeys moved BACK to Fayetteville and wish I saw this BEFORE Turner's birthday because I would have purchased this in a heartbeat! I know he so would of rather had this than trucks.

Good night with friends!
We went and heard (to be honest with you I can't remember who we went and listened to...) I do remember it was great time with friends who we don't see enough of and loved having a date night with the hubs! Thanks to Shugie for watching Tman!

We had many fun evenings on the 4-wheeler! I had a 'near death experience' when I was in 4th grade riding a 4-wheeler so I've been scared of them ever since..BUT I am starting to practice a little bit to ride around. I'll ride with Addison with no problem and we have a blast taking the trail (It's so fun watching PoPo try to keep up with us)

We still love this little doggie! OR should I say little horse?? He is the best puppy and can't believe how big he's getting :)
Turner loves showing off his tricks he learns ...mainly from me. I sometimes have the maturity of a two-year-old, so we are a perfect pair!

Aunt Lydia is getting married!!

As I posted in February, Uncle Caul proposed to Aunt Lydia. We couldn't be happier. Turner LOVES Uncle Caul and learned his name the 1st out of the family crew! Caul also (without any prompting) told me while we were at the beach I remind him of Rachel from friends. Anyone who knows me, knows this makes him my favorite!
They are getting married in May and Turner can't wait to celebrate on their big day. I know they will have perfect pictures because EVERY TIME I take a picture of the three of them together, Turner immediately poses and it's a perfect picture!

This summer I went with Lydia and Shugie to look at wedding dresses. She looked beautiful in every single one! I had fun taking very detailed notes! I looked like a very official sis-in-law helping.

Mother of the bride!

Lydia is so cute and creative!
She made these cute baskets to ask her bridemaids. Her favorite movie is Father of the Bride, so it was the center of the theme. I love it! The week she got engaged I found youtube videos of my favorite scenes from the movie and sent it to her. I told her I'll be more than happy to act out some of her favorite scenes--a bridesmaid at her finest.

So happy for these two and this year of celebration!
They are a perfect pair and I see nothing but smiles on their face whenever they are together. They also put a smile on Tman's face plenty and we are working on Turner's dance moves for the dance floor-very important.
