This summer I went with Sonya, Natalie and Lydia to Greenwood, MS to the Viking Cooking school to celebrate Shugie's birthday! It was my first girls' weekend away from kiddos and work in over a year or so! It was a blast.
We made the meal from The Help. It was so yummy!!
The next weekend we were planned to go to Dallas ( I decided to travel as much as I could while pregnant! :), I ended up not going, but my mom and dad took Turner to see his cousins. He.had.a.blast!! They stopped halfway and stayed in their camper in Oklahoma. Turner loves camping..I am still bummed Turner never did real camping over the summer with us. We are for sure going to next summer! It just flies by.
I see some resemblance..?? Many say I look just like my mom and I really just don't see it. I think it's because she is a tiny little thing and I got the curves! I was at her house and ran across this picture. I see a bit of me, I guess.
Love my girlfriends! This was at KTB's shower for Izzy! It was fun to see everyone and have some fun with our belly bumps. Our due dates being only a few days apart couldn't of been more perfect.
The farming begins.
I had a great idea to start a garden for Turner in August. I just felt with the baby coming and knowing how much we'd be at home, it would give him something to focus on. I never imagined it would 1. become an incredible little garden and 2. he would love every minute of it!
I just quickly went to Lowe's and picked out a strawberry plant. The next day my dad built a little square with cement blocks. It worked perfectly!
Addison bought VERY good top soil and the growing began! Everyday..and I mean morning and night....Turner would say, "I need to go check my garden." It was so fun to go out there with him and let him look it over, get excited about what is growing and watch him stare at the carrots...that he would have to patiently wait for.
Momma back at work and counting down the days to be off for maternity leave!
Turner made an art piece for Aunt Nat's classroom. He was very proud of it and I love that he loves to do art work at home.
FIRST strawberry!!!!
Grandmama took the toddler and myself to a fun festival in Rogers..it was hot, but as I think back to these times I was glad to do all the traveling and fun with my Turner Dean because on September 24 it became two and not just me and my Tman.
Love.Love.Love that he reads to me. I love this developmental stage for kiddos. I also just cherished sitting and listening to him...because from here on, I haven't been able to put T to bed with just relaxing in a few months. He wants Daddy or Daddy is out of town and I have to just quickly do it or Sis helps!
Counting down the days!!!
I had to work a lot of overtime before Ellery came to get everything prepared. Turner loved coming up to my office and 'helping'
On our way to the 'party for Ellery' as Tuner put it!
Just good times and memories I will cherish that will be known as the 'summer before we had Ellery!' I can't wait for many summers with both these kiddos!
